"MVE & Partners upholds the highest level of design standards to ensure that communities flourish and clients achieve economic success."

Carl McLarand, AIA

Chairman & CEO

As Founder and Chairman of the Board for MVE & Partners, Carl McLarand's guiding commitment to quality architecture and client service is reflected in more than 30 years of nearly continuous growth. MVE & Partners is now ranked among the 10-largest architectural firms in California.

MVE & Partners' portfolio of successful projects results from McLarand's insistence that each assignment be tackled with fresh vigor and attention to detail. And that client needs always be met and exceeded to result in what he calls "evocative architecture" - design that engages clients, users, and society.

Founding the residential-focused firm in 1974 in Orange County, CA, McLarand has since overseen the expansion of this focus and expertise into a diverse product portfolio serving a wide range of clients in both public and private sectors. In addition, he has overseen the opening of additional offices in Oakland, CA, and Honolulu, HI.

Today the firm has substantial experience in master-planning, resort, commercial, mixed-use, institutional, hospitality, retail, transit, and interiors, as well as in all facets of housing types. MVE & Partners' designs are now found across the United States and internationally within Mexico, Puerto Rico, Panama, Australia, United Arab Emirates, China, Thailand, Indonesia, Costa Rica and Korea and the firm has received more than 1,000 national and regional design awards.
