"Each community is unique and deserves a contextual planning solution that influences positive change and quality of life improvements for residents and visitors alike."

Ken Nilmeier

Principal

Ken Nilmeier, principal and director of planning at MVE & Partners, is committed to better utilization of urban spaces - and thus spearheads large-scale urban master plans, detailed site-specific plans, brownfield re-developments and feasibility studies. Nilmeier's broad expertise has also helped launch MVE & Partners into more-complex residential, commercial, mixed-use, and resort development and planning.

Nilmeier stresses contextualization, flexibility and site-specific solutions that meet client needs and make positive changes for the community. His planning success is a result of long and careful thought on the best possible use of land, and the blending of design objectives, physical site opportunities, and economics to meet site-specific goals. Nilmeier adheres to the belief that an inappropriate, preconceived plan should never be forced onto a site.

Dedicated to the cities of tomorrow, Nilmeier believes that smart master planning can achieve the positives of density and urban vitality, without the negatives of congestion and sprawl. Brownfield developments, urban infill redevelopments and other smart-growth initiatives are also of keen interest to Nilmeier.
