Chairman Emeritus

As Founder and Chairman Emeritus for MVE + Partners, Carl’s guiding commitment to quality architecture and client service is reflected in more than 45 years of nearly continuous growth. Founding the residential-focused firm in 1974 in Orange County, CA, Carl has since overseen the expansion of this focus and expertise into a diverse product portfolio serving a wide range of clients throughout the United States and worldwide in countries including China, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates.

MVE + Partners’ portfolio of successful projects results from Carl’s insistence that each assignment be tackled with fresh vigor and attention to detail. And that client needs always be met and exceeded to result in what he calls “evocative architecture” – design that engages clients, users, and society.

Carl has been honored as a guest lecturer throughout the nation, and has served as a respected design juror, prominent speaker and architectural expert throughout the industry. He advocates for education, the arts and architecture, supporting organizations such as The Orange County Museum of Art, Boy Scouts of America, and South Coast Repertory Theater. Carl is a lifetime member of the University of Southern California Architectural Guild and a Charter Member of the UC Irvine Paul Merage School of Business Center for Real Estate.
