MVE & Partners Promotes Six Executives In Its Irvine And Oakland Offices

McLarand Vasquez Emsiek & Partners, one of the region’s leading architectural planning and interior design firms, has promoted five executives in its Southern California regional headquarters located in Irvine and its Northern California office in Oakland. Reflecting the high performance and talent within these individuals, the firm has promoted Oakland-based Michael Gould, AIA, to senior associate partner and Loren Gachen to associate. In Southern California, the firm has acknowledged Robert Calnon and John Waldron as associate partners and Lars R. Holm and Director of Marketing Monica Vasquez-Guillena as associates.

In his new role as Senior Associate Partner, 12-year MVE veteran Michael Gould will be responsible as manager of overall operations for the firm’s Oakland design projects including the recent completion of Prometheus’ high-rise residential project, Verona at Cupertino City Center, as well as overseeing the Uptown Oakland project for Forest City, a mid-to high-rise residential project in Oakland, California.

New Associate Partner Robert Calnon is well known for his role as the project manager for the South Coast Repertory Expansion and is currently overseeing St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach and Broadway Lofts, a new 4-story residential/retail project in downtown Long Beach. Focusing his efforts on MVE’s retail designs, Associate Partner John Waldron’s responsibilities include lead designer for mixed-use projects like Legacy Partners’ Hollywood and Vine. Loren Gachen’s role as associate in Oakland will include the completion of Mariani Square for Pulte Home Corporation in San Jose and currently, the Antioch Apartments for Fairfield/Reynolds and Brown, Inc.

In Southern California, Lars R. Holm oversees the Kawaii Kai Development for SCD International consisting of 46 acres of luxury homes and condominiums in the East Oahu Island, Hawaii. Monica Vasquez-Guillena has been leading the marketing effort for all business structures of MVE including MVP International and the newly affiliated company, MVE Institutional.
