Principals to manage the architectural services in the office of a national architecture, planning and interiors firm
MVE & Partners, a national architecture, planning and interior design firm with offices in Irvine, Oakland and Honolulu, recently named Richard Castillo and William Koster, NCARB, as Principals. In their expanded role, Castillo and Koster will manage and oversee the technical and project delivery processes for the office, as well as participate in the overall management of the firm.
"Rick Castillo and Bill Koster are integral to the growth of MVE & Partners, providing technical expertise and leadership in the delivery process for the firms’s design projects," says Rick Emsiek, partner of MVE & Partners.
Castillo’s broad and varied experience includes such notable developments as the Village at Irvine Spectrum, a large-scale 1,550-unit mixed-use apartment community developed by the Irvine Company as well as Channel Park, a high rise residential development in San Francisco, and The Reserve, an upscale private golf community in Indian Wells, Ca.
Koster is integral in the firm’s movement into sustainable building practices. He has been at the helm of MVE's green design efforts and led an extensive team of consultants on one of the firm’s current noteworthy projects - the new Police Headquarters for the Port of Los Angeles, a project designed to achieve a Gold LEED rating. Additional recent accomplishments under Koster’s leadership include the Plaza-Irvine and 3000 The Plaza, three high-rise luxury condominium towers, noted for being one of the first high-rise developments of its kind, in Orange County. He has also been integral in the design and development of the South Coast Repertory Theatre, in Costa Mesa, California - the major award-winning 78,000-square-foot performing arts center renovation and expansion project planned in association with design architect Cesar Pelli Associates of New Haven, Connecticut.
"Both Bill Koster and Rick Castillo have proven themselves as tremendously knowledgeable and valued leaders within our firm and continue to provide outstanding service for our clients. We are very excited to have them both as Principals," adds Emsiek.
