Richard E. Castillo has been promoted to Senior Associate Partner in recognition of his immense contributions to the firm since joining in April 1994. Michael Saenz, Luis Arambula, Kevin Buchta, and Robert Puleo have all been promoted to Associate Partner. John Anthony Kosi was named Associate in the firm’s Oakland office.
McLarand Vasquez Emsiek & Partners, one of the region’s leading architectural planning and interior design firms, has promoted five executives in its Southern California regional headquarters located in Irvine and one executive in the Northern California, Oakland office. The announcements mark the immense depth of talent within the firm and years of design leadership exhibited by the architects. Richard E. Richard Castillo’s project experience includes One Ford Road in Newport Beach, Fairmont in Irvine, the Concourse in San Jose and Ohlone Court in San Jose, among others. Luis Arambula, associate partner, has been a member of MVE since March 1998. His project experience includes Howard Hughes Entertainment Center and Edwards Cinemas at Howard Hughes Center in Los Angeles. A member of MVE since 1996, Kevin Buchta’s relevant work experience includes Paraiso at Playa Vista, Promenade at Rio Vista in San Diego, Villa Siena in Irvine and Santa Ana Lofts in Santa Ana, among others. Robert Puleo has more than 25 years of professional experience in functional space planning, overall facility utilization and layout studies. His projects include Sammy Studios in Carlsbad, Palo Verde II in Irvine, Brockton Student Housing in Riverside, Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton and Terraces at EmeryStation in Emeryville. Named associate, Jonathon Kosi has been with MVE since 2001. His work experience includes Ladera Ranch, Phase V, San Lorenzo Urban Village in San Lorenzo and Pacific City located in Huntington Beach.
