MVE & Partners Announces Slate of Executive Promotions

MVE & Partners, ranked among the 10-largest architecture firms in California, announced seven key executive promotions to formally recognize contributions by talented architects, designers and administrators, and to bolster MVE & Partners' considerable clout in several project areas.

"This is more than a slate of yearly promotions," explains Richard Emsiek, AIA, president of MVE & Partners. "It is an investment in our firm and recognition of talent and dedication. These promotions lay the groundwork for aggressive growth by MVE & Partners in such project areas as dense transit-oriented developments, mixed use projects as well as educational and institutional facilities."

Architect and Administrator Promoted to Senior Associate Partner

At MVE & Partners, Senior Associate Partners promote positive attitudes within the firm, demonstrate exceptional skills in multiple disciplines and maintain and improve upon the quality of service.

Robert Calnon, Architect. Since joining MVE & Partners in 1999, Calnon has managed major commercial and institutional projects. He participates in project staff forecasting and budgeting, as well as in office training and policy decisions directed toward oversight of project documentation. Calnon has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.

Tory Fulwider, Controller. Fulwider is responsible for MVE & Partners' accounting, budget and tax systems, financial forecasts and other statistical reports. His understanding of the complexities of an architecture practice aids MVE & Partners staff to manage projects more efficiently. He joined MVE & Partners in 1998, and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Biola University, La Mirada, CA.

Four Architects and Designers Promoted to Associate Partner

Associate Partners at MVE & Partners are actively involved with staff training and management and demonstrate an overall commitment to the welfare of the firm.

Luis Enciso, Project Manager. With MVE & Partners since 2003, Enciso manages working drawings and consultants, from design development through project completion, specializing in infrastructure and design details. He manages complex and large projects, project teams, deadlines and consultant coordination, as well as clients. He possesses a Master in Architecture degree from National Polytechnic University, Mexico City.

John Anthony Kosi, Project Designer. At MVE & Partners since 2001, Kosi possesses a wide variety of project experience and excels in the design of high-density residential, mixed-use and transit-oriented developments. His multi-faceted project experience includes conceptual, schematic and design development. His creative and resourceful design techniques have resulted in many successful projects for MVE & Partners. Kosi received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from University of Southern California, LA.

James P. Montero, Project Manager/Architect. Montero, who joined MVE & Partners in 2003, administers all phases of project development, specializing in quality control and production of construction documents. Montero has a Master of Science in Architecture degree and Bachelor of Architecture degree, both from California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo.

Wahid Yonus, LEED AP, Project Manager/Architect. Yonus has overseen residential, commercial and institutional projects and has been instrumental in managing project teams for multiple clients. He is a mentor to many junior staff members and has demonstrated expertise in building codes, accessibility issues and preparation and management of office specifications. Yonus has a degree from American University in Afghanistan, and has been with MVE & Partners since 2005.
