Samsung Everland Jeondari Yongin, Kyonggi, Korea

The Samsung Corporation created their version of Disney World just outside of Seoul, Korea. This major 294-acre master-planned development is envisioned as a blend of hotel/resort, residential and timeshare, one hour away from the city crowds. The site contains some challenging sloped conditions which were graded with respect to the terrain, views and cultural sensitivities of the Korean culture, relative to water, views and sun orientation. Two unique sub-villages were created, on on 140 acres with single family homes on sloped foundation and the second village comprised of a 290-unit tower and 427 cottages on 150 acres.
