Near the edge of the Irvine Business Complex on a bluff overlooking the San Joaquin Freshwater Marsh Preserve, this 16-acre apartment component is part of a larger 40-acre mixed-use development. The 50-unit per acre density was achieved by incorporating five four-story buildings, each over two levels of subterranean parking. Innovative "L" and "S" shaped building configurations maximize open space and limit building coverage to 48% of the site. Walkways, courtyards and fountains are surrounded by gardens and lawns to create the sense of a resort hotel rather than an apartment complex. A 5,600 sq.ft. recreation center serves as a focal point offering a lavish pool, spa facilities, gym and community rooms.
