Village Green Gilroy, CA

Village Green is a unique mix of several age-restricted housing types in the City of Gilroy, 30-minutes south of San Jose. The overall project is comprised of Village Green Cottages - 76 units of detached, for-sale fee-simple clustered homes; Village Green Square -75 stacked-flat, two-story, rental apartment units for senior independent living; and Village Green Commons - (2) two- and three-story buildings with approximately 150 independent-living units. The Commons will provide Alzheimers care and Assisted Living care for its senior residents as they age in place, and will share kitchen and dining facilities, with meal services provided. Except for the apartments, each of the product types will be constructed in two phases, with on-site parking for more than 300 spaces, both covered and uncovered, located adjacent to the units. Village Green Square is being developed using tax credit financing and will be the first new residences completed. The initial phase of Village Green Cottages will be sales price restrictedand is part of the City's affordable housing element. The remainder of the cottages will be sold as market rate homes.
