The goal of this master-planned, gated community was to create a neighborhood reminiscent of gracious, older communities. Six distinctive neighborhoods were designed in a variety of configurations that include rear-loaded, zero-lot line, greenbelt and conventionally plotted homes. It is a unique collection of classic American homes and neighborhoods in a pedestrian-friendly environment.
The design of both the land plan and the residence reinforce the neighborhood concept and encourage inter-neighborhood involvement. The land plan is organized by a loop street bordered by a traditionally landscaped parkway which invites pedestrian activity. This nearly one-mile long loop road is the “lifeline” of the community linking all neighborhoods and recreation areas. Elegant drives provide entry into the community via a strong gateway statement.
These detached residential units feature a wide range of products ranging from nostalgic “beach” cottages to commanding semi-custom estates. Combined, the various product types and architectural styles create a richly diverse community of differing scales, massings, textures and materials. Porches, verandas, towers, bay windows, weather vanes, and a host of other design features create numerous areas of interests.
Complementing the community are two large swimming pools including an eight-lane junior Olympic-sized pool, putting green, parks, spacious playground and community center."
