Artesia Sunrise, FL

Client: Minto Communities, Inc.Status: Design

The master-planned community of Artesia reflects the efforts of nationally acclaimed and recognized planners and designers collaborating to create an elegant showcase for "urban resort living" in South Florida. Artesia reflects on its storied history of communities like West Palm Beach in its architecture, wonderfully landscaped streets, and the classic influence of Addison Mizner's rich Spanish architectural heritage, thus creating elegant diversity as a "lifestyle." The Artesia community consists of a variety of building types based on the concept of urban lifestyles and walkable communities for its residents. The master plan is centered on a 74-acre development, with 10 acres dedicated to a major water feature and landscaped promenade. Resort-styled family and adult amenities are focused on a significant two-story clubhouse anchoring the main theme entry gate.

The overall community of 1,395 units is inspired from past European town planning design elements that integrate water, walkways, courtyards and enriched landscaping, together creating edges that instill formal organization and romantic inviting spaces. These ideals nurture a contemporary lifestyle that appears within varied floor plan types occurring in the mid-rise buildings, townhomes and elegant flats located along the waterfront promenade. Artesia will reflect the romantic qualities of the European villages with the contemporary lifestyles of South Florida at this new community in Sunrise. The well-planned product mix consists of four-story townhomes and flats, as well as nine-story luxury flats to accommodate a wide variety of lifestyles.
