Vermont Senior Housing Los Angeles, CA

This $20 million residential development on Vermont Avenue will consist of four levels of senior housing above a single level on-grade parking garage. The first floor will include two senior recreation rooms, as well as a library and laundry rooms on each residential floor. The apartments will be one-bedroom units of approximately 500 sq.ft., and are designed following the CRA's Urban Development Guidelines and HUD's 202 Guidelines.

The character of the development relates to the use and scale of the adjacent public service developments. Residents have access to the nearby transit stop, in addition to the cultural and recreational amenities of Exposition Park. Ongoing streetscape improvements will transform Vermont into a pedestrian friendly, transit-oriented Avenida with a new landscaped median. The project massing responds to the site context, with the longest east-side edge fronting the historic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and the adjacent Exposition Park.
