The Canyons at Summerlin Las Vegas, NV

This business complex of four office buildings sets important urban design criteria for the future development of the buildings along this major arterial within the community of Summerlin in Las Vegas.

With the development of the latest "village," the concept was forwarded that all buildings within the village share a luxurious desert-resort character. Design guidelines were developed to introduce architectural and planning concepts, which were untried in the valley, including broadly overhanging roofs, use of deep, bold desert-influenced colors and a geometric architectural landscape. The goal for the project was to downplay its commercial character and scale while emphasizing its desert setting.
