Mariachi Plaza Boyle Heights, CA

Client: McCormack Baron Salazar / CIM Group / The Lee GroupStatus: Design

The MTA's long sought Gold Line Station at the Mariachi Plaza promises to open a new chapter in Boyle Heights' and East Los Angeles' colorful history. Our proposed development plan for the First and Boyle TOD is about place making that arises from the dynamics of urban design and art, and from the interaction of old and new, visitors and residences, enterprise and culture. This project seeks to develop a broad range of new mixed-use inter-generational housing choices above neighborhood serving cafTs, bookstores, full-service drug stores, small groceries, and spaces for emerging community social and artistic needs.
