Located on the southeast corner of Newport Center near the Pacific Ocean, this office building was the first in a series of seven campus-style structures designed for the Irvine Company. The building's casual elegance and garden courtyard atmosphere form a strong counterpoint to other more traditional office facilities. The numerous notched building corners provide maximum opportunities for prime-view executive offices. The building's unique signature begins with a triumphal archway signaling one's arrival, and a strong landscape processional leads to the front portal entrance. The granite lobby is highlighted by a double helix stair and a polished stainless-steel elevator cab.
