The overall site design includes a baseball park for the adjacent Santa Clara University and a small neighborhood-serving retail component. The buildings are designed to create a pedestrian- friendly edge to the surrounding streets while the residences are configured to create a series of paseos that promote pedestrian movement to the adjacent public transit stop. The architecture was inspired by the buildings in the surrounding neighborhood areas, including the university, resulting in an interesting interpretation of the Spanish Colonial vernacular. The residences range from 500 sq.ft. studios to 1,500 sq.ft., three-bedroom units, as well as two guest suites that may be rented on a short-term basis by the residents. The leasing office and community recreation space are accessed at the street level with the fitness center located on the podium adjacent to the swimming pool and spa.
