Downtown Student Housing - Staples Center Los Angeles, CA

Capstone West is developing a 32-story student housing complex adjacent to Staples Center and the Conven tion Center near downtown Los Angeles. This high-rise residential tower will be an integral part of Staples II, the proposed new 4-million sq.ft. development with a 7,000 seat live theatre, a 1,200 room convention hotel, along with entertainment, restaurant, residential, hotel and office space, components of a $1 billion retail and entertainment destination. The overall character of the Downtown Student Housing facilities will complement other design elements of this urban mixed-use project, master planned by LA Arena Land Company, as well as its South Park neighbors along the Figueroa Corridor. The $90+ million student housing project will be located at the southwest corner of Flower and 12th Street, across from an existing Blue Line Metro platform. It will be available to students and faculty of various institutions, and the ground floor will be activated by both retail and restaurant uses. Parking will be provided by an 8-level above-grade parking structure adjacent to the new building.
