This luxury apartment community is located adjacent to a high profile mixed-use development comprised of a hotel, health club and restaurant. The primary recreation space was "inserted" into the parking structure so the landscape and pool could be built on grade, allowing for a lush resort feel. The building configuration forms small, intimate courts, serving as semi-private neighborhoods connected by a series of circulation spines. All of the parking for the development is provided in the subterranean garage with access afforded in several cores. The units enjoy at least two sources of natural light with loft space in many of the upper floor units adding articulation to the elevations, which were inspired by the nearby historical examples in Balboa Park and La Jolla Village.
