MVE Congratulates Amy Martz, AIA, Recipient of the 2016 ULI Emergent Leadership Awards!

Newport Beach, CA — On June 3rd Amy Martz, AIA received the 2016 Emergent Leadership Award (ELA) for Architecture bestowed by the Urban Land Institute Orange County/Inland Empire (ULI OC/IE) district council. Now in its sixth year, the ELA’s celebrate the achievements of motivated, dedicated, and inventive emerging real estate professionals who are exemplary members of the Young Leaders Group (YLG). Award recipients are recognized for their dedication to bettering themselves and their industry in the previous year.  This year’s award was presented to Amy by the 2014 ELA recipient for Architecture, Allison Lee, AIA, who is a fellow co-worker and Associate Partner at MVE + Partners.

Amy Martz is an Associate Partner at MVE + Partners, Inc., where she has practiced architecture, design, and planning since 2007. Amy focuses her efforts on site planning, conceptual design through design development for residential, hospitality, and commercial developments. In 2015 she served on the ULI YLG Executive Committee and as YLG rep on the Public Realm Initiative Council.  She was also the lead designer for the YLG Pro Bono Technical Assistance Panel (TAP). Her efforts as a TAP panelists resulted in a comprehensive report for the Orange County Rescue Mission in which the panel completed a development study for the Tustin Veterans Transitional & Affordable Housing Community. She has been a member of the ULI YLG since 2014.

Amy received her Bachelor of Art in Interdepartmental Studies from Schiller International University in Leysin, Switzerland, and her Master of Architecture from Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia. Some of her recent assignments include Carroll Canyon Mixed-use, Santa Clara Square, Alegre Affordable Apartment, and numbers of site planning & density studies for various developer clients.  Amy’s passion for traveling and photography have taken her around the world to exciting destinations throughout the US, Europe, Middle East and Asia.

The ULI YLG feels it is important to highlight the most outstanding local emerging leaders whose contributions to their company, industry, and ULI make it clear that they lead by example. Young Leaders Group is to cultivate and engage ULI members, under 35, who are the next generation of leaders, to innovate, effect, and improve the future of responsible land use.
