403 units | 800 beds
This student housing project for the University of California in San Diego is located on a beautiful site and surrounded on three sides by an open space easement. Beyond the open space to the west is Interstate 5, and beyond that, the heart of the university campus. The target market is single graduate and medical students who attend UCSD. The project consists of approximately 800 apartment-style beds configured in two-bedroom/one-bathroom units arranged in four unique buildings. Amenities include study lounges, meeting rooms, vending machine and mail areas, administrative offices, and a student operated cafe. This LEED Silver equivalent project includes parking for occupants at a 1:1 ratio in a variety of options. The majority of the parking for residents and guests is found in a multi-level parking structure, while additional parking is tucked under the apartment buildings and in open parking areas throughout the project.
